How To Double Dip Your Deals On Groceries
Here is a quick scenario of how to get the maximum savings on groceries. First, if at all possible, try to buy grocery items when they are at their rock bottom price – which is typically when the price of the item is a at least 50%– 75% of it’s regular retail price.
Katrina, how do I know if the price is at it’s rock bottom price? Start by trying to pay attention to sales cycles, and you can always look at the tag. Most grocers will show you the regular price and the sale price. After you make sure the item is on sale, stack the sale by using paper coupons.
Hopefully you are shopping at a store where they double the face value of your paper coupons – so you will save extra just by shopping there. A few years ago, during the major coupon craze, you could shop just about anywhere, and they would double your coupons, but sadly, that’s not the case anymore. I still have one grocery store in my area that will double coupons.
Use Grocery Apps To Save Even More
When possible, try to shop where they will still double your coupons. Besides using paper coupons, try to triple dip your savings by also using an app like Ibotta and Fetch (use the REFERRAL code: U1BBA (and you’ll get 2,000 points after you sign up)! Both of these will give you extra savings on top of the sale and paper coupons. Now you are triple dipping your deals!
If you can get into the habit of always thinking about how you can save even more on your purchases, you will be surprised how quickly the savings adds up! Be consistent and you will save! I promise!
